ABSTRACT
Septorhinoplasty is done through closed [internal] and open [external] techniques. Lateral osteotomies are usually performed through percutaneous or intranasal intercartilagenous approaches. Prospective quasi-experimental study. This study was conducted at ENT department Jabbar Al Ahmad Armed Forces Hospital, Kuwait during Feb. 2005 to Feb. 2007. In this series we have performed lateral osteotomies in open technique of rhinoplasty under direct vision. This procedure gave satisfactory results after surgery. In cases where surgeon is adapting open technique for the correction of nasal deformity, this procedure of osteotomies under direct vision will give more confidence to surgeon due to its precise and continuous breaking of the bone
