Zeiss loop for the extraction of ureteric calculi

ABSTRACT

Endoscopic extraction of ureteric stones using the Zeiss loop was employed in 68 non-Bilharzial and 26 Bilharzial patients. The slow delivery approach was adopted for retrieval of the stones in all cases. Only middle and lower third ureteric stones were treated and a high rate of success was achieved in those patients with or without Bilharziasis of the urinary tract. No significant complications were encountered
