Fixation of posterior chamber intra-ocular lens in the absence of posterior capsule

ABSTRACT

Due to the many known complications of anterior chamber intra-ocular lenses, attention has shifted towards post-chamber intraocular lenses. A method of fixation of posterior chamber intraocular lenses in the absence of posterior capsular support in cases of secondary intraocular lens implantation in aphakic eyes and complicated extracapsular cataract extraction is discussed.
