ABSTRACT
The term Mizaj [Temperament] in the subject is applied for wider logical aspects which include the study of primary components, their physical qualities as well as chemical properties, and after their interaction how different compounds are created and what qualities [Kaifiyat] they comprise. However, in Al-Umur al-Tabia, as Ibn Sina has said that, in medicine only equitable medical temperament is taken as objective to study in which biochemical processes, morphological expressions and body functions of human beings are discussed. Here Mizaj is reflected at every stage and so the requisite temperament is maintained to preserve health. Since, temperament is an existing dynamic state of the body at which functions are performed and re-adjusted in accordance with environmental demands; therefore individuals have been given a great capacity to adapt themselves according to the requirements made by dietary habits, profession, age, life style, habitats and climatic condition of a particular region.
