Some studies on pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from different sources

ABSTRACT

68 strains of PS. aeruginosa, 23 strains from fish, 15 strains from poultry and 30 from human were isolated on cetrimide King's "A" medium, cetrimide nutrient agar and Pseudomonas CN supplement SR 102. Culture characteristics of the isolates on the three media as well as biochemical reactions were discussed. Pathogenicity tests of PS aerugionsa strains to mice and rabbits revealed that the virulence caries according to the source of the strain as well as the dose used in infection
