ABSTRACT
Preeclampsia may result in hypertensive retinopathy. This retinopathy is reversible after pregnancy in the majority of cases due to improvement of medical management offered to affected patients. In neglected patients this can cause visual loss in one or both eyes. Central retinal vein occlusion is very rare in young pregnant women with preeclampsia. We report a case of central retinal vein occlusion in a 33 years old pregnant woman which arose one week after cesarean section done at 29 weeks of gestation due to preeclampsia at King Hussein Medical Center
