Metallo beta-lactamases [MBLs] producing Pseudomonas aeruginosa [P. aeruginosa] isolates are becoming an escalating global threat. Among the antibiotics used to treat infections associated with P. aeruginosa, resistance to carbapenem is a serious therapeutic challenge.
