ABSTRACT
The amine and diamine polysiloxane ligands were prepared directly through hydrolytic condensation of[MeO][2-]Si-[CH[2]][3-]X [X=NH2 [X=NH2 or NH [CH2]2NH2 with a mixture of CH[2]=CH--Si [OMe][3]and Si [OEt][4]or indirectly by the reaction between the chloro-polysiloxane S- [CH2] 3-C1-[S represents the silocane matrix] and ethylenediamine. The vinyltrimethoxysilane used as a reactant where less cross-linking than those used Si [OEt] 4 alone, thus increased their capacity. These ligands are readily formed stable metal complexes of the type [S-[CH[2]]3-X][n]MC1[2][where n=2, M=Cu or Ni;n=3, M=Co]. With CU2+, Ni2+, Co2+ and Mn[2+ions, it was not usually possible that all the amine groups are accessible for coordination to the metal ion
