ABSTRACT
Chondroid syringoma [CS] is a benign neoplasm of the sweat glands that usually occurs in the head and neck region. We report here a case of a 72-year-old female patient with a benign chondroid syringoma, which occurred at an unusual location - the arm. The diagnosis was made on histopathology. Although the tumour size was large [6cm], the morphology revealed no features suggestive of malignancy. Hence CS should be considered in the differential diagnosis of cutaneous neoplasms, even when they occur at unusual sites. Also, a large size raises the suspicion of malignancy but definite diagnosis rests upon a careful histopathological examination
