Surgical management of bronchiectasis: indications, experience and early results

Background: in the developing and the underdeveloped countries pulmonary bronchiectasis is commonly-faced forming a significant cause of morbidity and mortality. Although antibiotics postural drainage is widely applied in the medical management of the disease, resection of the involved segment[s] remains the only treatment modality that can offer a potential cure.
