ABSTRACT
One hundred cases of adenoiditis, were reviewed regarding age, sex, history and clinical examination. Adenoidectomy and then pathological examination were done for them. Serological tests [E.S.R., A.S.O. and C-R-P] were done before and 3 months after adenoidectomy. The cases were divided into 2 groups, according to E.S.R. matching ranges. In group I [30 cases] it was within normal limits, while in group II [70 cases] there were high values. Pathological lesions as surface ulceration, squamous metaplasia, infiltration with inflammatory cells, retention cysts and lymphoid hyperplasia were more marked in group II. The literature on the subject was reviewed and the results were discussed
