Cryptosporidiosis of the human being and results of the experimental infection in albino mice and rats

ABSTRACT
Cryptosporidium oocysts, were collected, 18 out of 200 [9%] children [6-12 years old] from two schools children in Sharkia province, represented Urban and Rural zones. The infection was higher in Rural zone to be 11 out of 100 [11%] than urban zone to reach 7 out of 100 [7%]. It was also higher among children at 6 years old, to be 6 out of 40 [15%] and 4 out of 40 [10%] in Rural and Urban zones respectively. Experimental cross transmission of humor cryptosporidium oocysts to albino mice and rats were succeeded to produce infection. Diarrhoea may or not be found as the signs of the patients infected with cryptosporidiosis
