Pre-operative uses of mefenamic acid for pain control after surgical removal of lower third molar

ABSTRACT

Thirty-eight patients received mefenamic acid 500 mg and paracetamol 500 mg in two regimes to control pain after the surgical removal of lower third molar. It was found that there is no difference in efficacy between the two drugs in pain control, but there is a significant difference in postoperative interincisal distance and post traumatic facial swelling at the operation side.
