ABSTRACT
Ten cadavers were utilized in this study. Long needles were followed after being inserted in the acupuncture points of the urinary bladder channel on the back of the trunks. These points, which were called Back-Shu points, believed by the Chinese to affect the internal organs. In this research the needles were found either passing through or very close to the sympathetic ganglia of the sympathetic chain. This finding insures the relation of the Bach-Shu points to the internal organs through the medial branches of the sympathetic chain which if stimulated may maintain a balance in the activities of the sympathetic and parasympathetic divisions of the autonomic nervous system
