ABSTRACT
Three hundred cases of intussusception were subjected to a trial of hydrostatic reduction using saline enema and sonographic guidance. The age of these cases ranged from 4 months to 1 year and males were predominating females. The duration of symptoms ranged for several hours to 3 days. Of these cases 60% were successfully reduced. The remaining cases were successfully reduced. The remaining cases were treated operatively. This method of treatment of intussusception hydrostatically using saline and guided by ultrasonography, is safe, easy within the trained h and s and reduced the period of hospitalization
