ABSTRACT
Serum and saliva samples collected from 40 normal female medical students were tested for IgG and IgA antibodies to parvovirus B19 by capture immunoassay. Serum IgG antibodies were detected in 18 [45%] subjects with 8, having antibodies both in serum and saliva. Serum and saliva IgA antibodies were found in 17 [42.5%] and 12 [30%] subjects respectively. All those with salivary IgA antibodies also had serum IgA antibodies
