Anorectal sphincterotomy in constipation management in infant

ABSTRACT
In the period 1980 and 1991 incluse, 37 children have been treated in surgical pediatric dpartement "A" for rebellous constipation by ano-rectal sphinctero-myectomy. The analytical study of cases and the review of the literature allows to insist on the diagnostic role of this method precising the prelevement length and the histological sections level to have an intepretable result. As to its therapeutic value, the bad results appear have as a cause a persistant and important colorectal ectasie which is secondary at the oldness of constipation or at its bad medical treatment quality. The provisional colostomy appears permetting at the ectasia colorectum to take back its normal calibre and tonicity, therefore prometting efficient results:
