A case of anterolateral congenital diaphragmatic hernia is described in an eight days new born; after an embryologic study, the authors remind the rareness of this type of defect which is different from Morgagni diaphragmatic hernia by its size and its revelation in child. Treatement allows operative repair and prognosis depends on the presence and severity of associated malformations
