ABSTRACT
A retrospective analysis of the records of patients who were admitted to Princess Basma Hospital and died in the hospital. The cause of admission to the hospital was trauma in the period of seven years [1988-1994]. The records showed 190 deaths, most of whom were young males. Unsatisfactory management was found in 27.6% of the deaths. A significant difference was found when comparing the results of the management between the patients who presented during the office hours and the ones who presented outside the office hours. The chief objective is to improve trauma patients care by a trauma team available all the time, to raise sense of emergency, to draw the attention to advances in trauma management and its impact on reduction of trauma deaths
