ABSTRACT
In twenty-nine patients, 52 fingers with post-burn flexion contractures have been treated by skin grafts and flaps during the period between May 1993 and July 1994 in Al-Shaheed Adnan hospital. The severity of contractures was graded and corrective treatment planned accordingly. Patients have been reviewed from three months to one year after correction. The results were better when using skin grafts bridged by two lateral triangular flaps in between, and according to the severity of the contracture. Z-plasty proved to be a satisfactory method for releasing mild to moderate contractures
