Mitodepressive and clastogenic effects of fungicide benlate in the root meristem of allium cepa

ABSTRACT
Benlate, a systemic fungicide was tested for its antimitotic and clastogenic effects in the root meris-tem of Allium cepa. The results obtained showed that Benlate inhibits cytokinesis, spindle formation and if Mitodepressive in function, and therefore it is recorded to be a potential mitotic poison
