ABSTRACT
The dental practician is daily exposed to a sonor traumatism related to the noise of the different apparatus used. According to different authors, the sonor level in the dentist's cabinet varies between 64 to 112 dB and the frequencies attained are the 4000 and 8000 l-Hz. This has been confirmed by the works of different authors [i.e. Gouiran- Colic - Tounzi]. Similar works by Rahko, Lehto have not revealed the deficit, which is the case in our series which arc not however representative. Nevertheless, measures of prevention should be stressed in order to reduce the incidence of this sonor trauma in dental practice
