Gross changes produced by traction force in the long bone of rabbit tibia

ABSTRACT
Effects of traction on long bone growth in 30 rabbits were studied by applying traction in long axis of right tibia. Animals were divided into three equal groups, experimental, sham operated and control group. Radiography was used for measurement of initial and final length of tibia. Traction was applied in experimental group of animals only. The experimental tibia did not show significant change in its length as compared to opposite tibia
