A total of 29 knees in 29 patients have been followed up for 2 to 5 years [mean 3 years]. Eighty nine percent of the knees were rated as having excellent or good results using Bristol Knee Score. 26 patients had lasting relief of pain. There was no subsidence or loosening of either tibial or femoral components and there was no instance of local osteolysis. One knee have been revised to bicompartmental replacement for deterioration of the other compartment two patients with a pre-operative diagnosis of post-traumatic degenerative artheritis have unexplained pain. The operation is recommended as a satisfactory and durable form of treatment for selected patients with Unicompartmental Osteoarthritis, Osteonecrosis, and post traumatic degenerative arthritis
