ABSTRACT
Seaweed mixture including the genera belonging to Chlorophyta and Rhodophyta was collected from the coast of Karachi and processed to make compost. Its effect on growth, yield, biochemical mineral contents and [fruits] of Capsicum annum L., was observed. In general, plants treated with different concentrations of seaweed manure showed significant results as compared to controlled plants. Nutrient contents of fruits in terms of crude protein, crude fibre, crude fat, ash, moisture, gross energy, sodium, potassium, calcium and chlorides were also higher in plants treated with seaweed fertilizer. Comparative analysis of controlled soil, seaweed mixture and seaweed compost were also studied
