The otitis media with effusion of the child is a frequent affection, the evolution of which is spontaneously regressive in most cases. The treatment must be hiearchised - medical at first, surgical [D.T.T. with adenoidectomy] in case of failure, with well precised indications, Its purpose is the re-establishment of the airing of the middle ear, and the amelioration of eustachian tube, avoiding thus, the evolution towards anatomic and functional complications
