Valeur de l'antibiotherapie prophylactique dans les cesariennes

ABSTRACT

The study of infections complications of 2292 cesarean sections practiced in the Rabat Maternity, during a period of 10 years. Have shown post-surgery infection has been observed in 15% of cases. Those complications are parietal suppuration [68,4%], fever from various origin [24,3%], 14 cases of endometritis, 4 cases of pelviperitonitis and 7 cases of thrombophlebitis. The use of Penicillin in preventive treatment of those infections has not allowed to diminish of this infections morbidity. Moreover we have observed among the treated cases that the frequency of infections complications is higher than that of the non treated cases; [15,92%] for the treated cases against [8,14%] for non treated cases. Various factors have been evoked specially the date of rupture of membranes in cesarean evolution
