ABSTRACT
Five groups of rats were used in this study. The first group was used as control, the second was given aspirin for two weeks, the third was given aspirin and natural honey for two weeks, the fourth was treated as the third and left two weeks without treatment, while the fifth was given aspirin as well as sugars in a similar percentage to those present in natural honey for two weeks. The stomach was examined by scanning electron microscopy. The gastric secretion volume, free and total acidity, pepsin, mucoprotein and mucoproteose [concentration and output] were estimated
