Treatment of transient ischaemic attacks should be undertaken only in units where people experienced in cerebrovascular matters are available. It also requires certain technical equipment and laboratory facilities. Even so it is still open to discussion which therapeutic approach should be preferred. It can be anticipated that this question will be answered within the next few years
