ABSTRACT
Fifty-two healthy ASA I-II children aged 4-12 years undergoing adenotonsillectomy to determine the intubating conditions using either 8% sevoflurane in nitrous oxide and oxygen or thiopentone 5-6 mg/kg with succinylcholine 1.5 mg/kg. The intubating conditions were scored using Krieg score. The scores were better with thiopentone- succinylcholine group, but trachea was intubated successfully at the first attempt in all patients either the thiopentone succinylcholine group or the sevoflurane group with clinically acceptable conditions
