The sample consisted of 30 schizophrenic patients, 15 subjects were randomly recruited to be subjected to the social skills training and the other 15 patients were assigned to a problem solving group. Three tools were used; sociodemographic medical data sheet, positive and negative syndrome scale [PANSS] and social adjustment scale II [SAS II]. The findings of this study provided a strong evidence that both social skills and problem solving training were helpful.
