ABSTRACT
to assess the influence of the total motile sperm count on the pregnancy rate in-patients undergoing superovulation and intrauterine insemination [IUI]. Study design:
retrospective study. University Affiliated IVF unit. one hundred and thirty one patients had 174 cycles of controlled ovarian hyperstimulation with hMG and intrauterine insemination. Main outcomemeasure:
pregnancy rate at each cut off level. Results the pregnancy rate was [15%]. The total motile sperm count inseminated did not influence the pregnancy rate. we could not identify either a higher or a lower limit of post wash total motile sperm count to define those couples that would be more or less likely to conceive with superovulation and IUI
