ABSTRACT
Elective limited hemorrhoidectomy [LH] was performed for the treatment of surgical hemorrhoidal disease in 100 patients with a mean age of 35 years. The postoperative pain was minimal as it was relieved on the usually prescribed analgesic and there were no complications specific to the procedure. The procedure achieved a control of the symptoms in 95% of the patients, while the symptoms in the remaining 5% did not require any additional hemorrhoid surgery for up to three years after the original surgery
