Laser-assisted submandibular duct sialolithotomy: an outpatient procedure

ABSTRACT

Twelve selected patients with submandibular duct stones were operated upon under local an aesthesia using CO [2] laser to incise the duct cleanly and precisely. All the stones were extracted successfully without reporting any considerable bleeding or major complications. The technique and advantage of using CO [2] laser are discussed in this article
