Neurotic disorders among children with rheumatic fever

ABSTRACT

Determine the frequency of neurotic disorders among children with rheumatic fever. [20] Children with the diagnosis of rheumatic fever were compared with an equal number of children as a control groups. The two groups were assessed for the frequency of the neurotic symptoms. This controlled study revealed that the frequency of neurotic disorder [obsessive compulsive symptoms] in children with rheumatic fever is 35%.The children with rheumatic fever were associated with a higher frequency of neurotic disorder
