Iridoids with antimicrobial activity from plumeria alba L.

ABSTRACT

Three major iridoids; viz. plumieride, protoplumericin A and plumieride acid were isolated from the bark and leaves of Plumeria alba L. Protoplumericin A and plumieride acid are reported for the first time from the titled plant. These compounds were identified through different chemical and spectroscopic methods.
