Maternal characteristics and birthweight

ABSTRACT
One thousand and twenty-five full term pregnant mothers and their newborn were studied. Overall mean Birthweight was 2.9 kg. Twenty-six percent of newborn weighed<2.5kg. Maternal age at first delivery, maternal total caloric in take and maternal weight had a significant positive influence on Birthweight
