Blind pinning of displaced supracondylar fractures of the humerus in children

ABSTRACT
24 cases of displaced supracondylar fractures of the humerus in children are reported. 9 were pinned percutaneously by 2 pins through the lateral epicondyle. 15 had blind pinning by a medial and a lateral epicondylar crossing Kirschner wires. 21 were available for followup, of which the 9 lateral pinnings. 86% had satisfactory Flynn's criteria. Most unsatisfactory cases were of the 9 lateral pinnings
