Meningocele sacra anterior / Anterior sacral meningocele

ABSTRACT

The anterior sacral meningocela is a rare congenital anomaly probably due to dysraphism. It may occur in membres of the same family. This anomaly is often associated with difficulties to establish the diagnosis and also to choose the definitive surgical management. In the present study we present a case in which the diagnosis was suspected during a laparotomy for pelvic cysts. After the operation myelography confirmed the diagnosis. The definitive tratment was not done during the same operation
