From girls to women: growing up healthy in Belize

RESUMO

The document is the first situational analysis of the health of girls and women in Belize; it reviews the health of girls, adolescent and women focussing on common areas such as nutrition, sexuality, mortality and abuse. Also, it outlines the gains and present efforts of government and non-government organisations while providing the opportunity to understand the issues affecting women's health, identify existing data gaps and highlights areas which are in need of improvement. This effort will contribute to the promotion of health diagnosis with attention to gender needs
