Estudo comparativo da força reação do solo, parâmetros temporais e espaciais do andar em esteira rolante entre sujeitos saudáveis e diabéticos neuropatas / The dynamic and temporal responses related to ground reaction force during gait in treadmill between diabetic neuropathic patients and control subjects

RESUMO

The present study aims at describing the dynamic and temporal responses related to ground reaction force during gait in treadmill in two distinct groups diabetic neuropathic patients and control subjects. We used an instrumented treadmill (Kistler) and its software to obtain temporal, spatial and dynamic parameters during gait. Our findings suggest that the biomechanical locomotor behaviour of the neuropathic subjects is significantly different from the control subjects: lower values of vertical forces, longer temporal parameters and shorter step and stride lengths. These altered biomechanical responses were found bilaterally. They were different from what we expected and found to be related to somatosensorial deficits in neuropathic patients. These findings can indicate that the disease compromises not only the mechanical behavior during gait but also the peripheral control of movement.
