RESUMEN

Con la reciente introducción del monitoreo continuo del segmento ST en nuestro medio, disponemos de un valioso instrumento para la detección precoz de la isquemia miocárdica perioperatoria. El uso rutinario de esta técnica en los pacientes de alto riesgo, nos permitirá realizar un diagnóstico precoz de esta complicación, instaurar el tratamiento necesario en cada caso en particular y ayudar a la prevención del infarto agudo del miocardio durante la anestesia. Se presenta una revisión actualizada de esta novedosa técnica así como del tratamiento de la isquemia perioperatoria(AU)

ABSTRACT

With the recent introduction of the continual monitoring of the ST segment in our environment, we have a valuable tool for the early detection of perioperative myocardial ischemia. The rutinary use of this technique in high risk patients will allow us to make an early diagnosis of this complication, to establish the necessary treatment in each case and to contribute to the prevention of acute myocardial infarction during the time the patient is anesthetized.
