ABSTRACT
In the present article the author presents his point of view about the general diagnosis approach on the Irritable Intestine Syndrome (IIS), pathology of high prevalence and social impact on which there is still controversy about the diagnosis, in spite of the existence of diagnosis criteria drafted in specialists consensus. For some, the IIS diagnosis must be obtained excluding organic pathologies, without presenting a primary clinic diagnosis. Reflection on this position and the diagnosis is suggested to be made based on clinics and positive facts, not the exclusion.
