Instrumentos clínicos utilizados no departamento de psicologia clínica da USP: 10 anos depois / Clinical instruments used in the department of clinical psychology of USP: 10 years latter

RESUMO

A pesquisa constitui-se de um levantamento dos instrumentos clínicos utilizados pelos integrantes do Departamento de Psicologia Clínica da Universidade de São Paulo. O objetivo principal foi comparar os resultados com levantamento anterior (1995) e secundariamente, iniciar reflexão sobre os possíveis efeitos do processo de avaliação da qualidade dos testes, em curso pelo CFP, sobre a utilização desses instrumentos. Embora tenha sido observada uma tendência geral à diminuição de uso dos instrumentos, esses continuam sendo utilizados pela maioria (87%) dos integrantes do Departamento, observando-se ainda o predomínio das técnicas projetivas sobre os demais testes. O TAT continua na liderança, sendo que WISC e o CAT-A tiveram um decréscimo de utilização. Com base em pesquisas nacionais e internacionais, são levantados alguns fatores, dentre outros, a orientação teórica do corpo docente e os resultados da avaliação da qualidade dos testes, que poderiam estar exercendo influência na configuração deste panorama.

ABSTRACT

This is a survey of clinical instruments used by the staff of the Department of Clinical Psychology of the University of São Paulo. Its main purpose was to compare data with a previous survey (1995) and also secondarily, to initiate a reflection about how the evaluation process of tests quality, carried on by the Federal Council of Psychology, might be affecting the use of the instruments. In spite of the observed general tendency of decrease in use of the techniques, they are still used by the majority of the Department (87%) and the use of projective techniques still prevails over others. The TAT keeps the leadership while the WISC and the CAT-A showed a decrease in use. Based on national and international surveys, some factors that might be influencing the configuration of this scenario are considered; among them are the theoretical orientation of the faculty and the results of the evaluation process of the quality of the tests that is currently taking place in Brazil.
