Transgeracionalidade: quando crescer não é permitido / Transgenerationality: when growing is not allowed

RESUMO

O presente estudo avaliou as mudanças nos efeitos da transgeracionalidade sobre as relações emocionais na família durante o processo terapêutico, através de um caso clínico. Participou do estudo uma família que buscou atendimento psicológico trazendo por queixa inicial as dificuldades de aprendizagem da filha e o medo que o filho apresentava de ficar sozinho. Foram realizados aproximadamente 22 consultas em um período de cinco meses, quando ocorreram evidentes progressos nos comportamentos das crianças, na relação com a família de origem e na relação conjugal. Os dados foram obtidos através dos relatos dos atendimentos e de duas consultorias com um profissional especializado oferecidas pela clínica. Pôde-se captar o estilo de funcionamento transgeracional e, a partir da atuação terapêutica, tornar consciente esta questão para a família, favorecendo o desenvolvimento de seus membros e amenizando o impacto da transgeracionalidade sobre esta geração.

ABSTRACT

This study examined the impact of transgenerationality on the emotional relations in the family, through a clinical case. The family participating of the study looking for psychological help bringing as an initial complaint the difficulties of learning of the daughter and the son’s fear of being alone. The family therapy was carried out for five months, with evident progress in behavior of the children, in the relation with the family of origin and in the couple’s relation. Data were got through the reports of therapy sessions and from two counseling sessions with specialized professionals offered by the clinic. The transgenerational functioning style of this family could be detected and treated by making it become a conscious question for the family, promoting the development of its members and diminishing the impact of transgenerationality on this generation.
