Estudo preliminar para a construção de uma escala de agressividade para universitários / Preliminary study to the construction of an Agressivety Scale

RESUMO

Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar fatorialmente dois instrumentos para mensurar agressividade. Foram estudados 445 alunos, de ambos os sexos, dos cursos de Engenharia e Psicologia. A construção dos itens da escala para captar a agressividade em universitários teve como base critérios do CID-10 e DSM-IV. Os itens para a escala masculina foram separados da escala feminina por meio de uma análise do funcionamento diferencial dos itens. O estudo fatorial foi realizado separadamente por sexo, por meio de analise por componentes principais, com rotação Varimax. Na escala feminina foram encontrados três fatores e na masculina quatro, sendo os fatores condutas anti-sociais e condutas manipuladoras semelhantes em ambas as escalas e o fator irritabilidade característico da escala feminina e os fatores irresponsabilidade e negligência da escala masculina. A precisão por consistência interna forneceu índices, na maior parte, bons.

ABSTRACT

This study aimed to factorially analyze two tests to measure aggressiveness. Protocols of both sexes 445 students, attending at the courses of Engineering and Psychology of a private university of a city of the interior of the state of São Paulo were studied. In this research the criteria of the CID-10 and DSM-IV were used as base for the construction of a scale to assess the aggressiveness. The items of the male scale were separated from the female scale by means of an analysis of the items differential functioning, and they were analyzed using the principal components analysis with varimax rotation, The female scale showed three factors and the male ones presented four, being the antisocial and manipulative behaviors common of both scales, irritability factor characterized the female scale, and irresponsibility and neglected behaviors characterized the male scale. The reliability measured by internal consistence were predominantly good.
