ABSTRACT
The dentin cervical hypersensitivity is an uncomfortableness that assails a huge part of the population. The efficient treatment is a point of several researches, and the pursuit of an ideal desensitizing is a big challenge. The objective of this research was analyze and compare the laser diode of low potency (GaAIAs) and the varnish with fluorine 5% (Flourniz) efficiency in reducing and eliminating the pain symptoms of this process. It may conclude that the laser diode of low potency (GaAIAs) was efficient in the dentin cervical hypersensitivity elimination, and that the varnish with fluorine (Flourniz) wasn't efficient, however it was able to reduce the hypersensitiveness degree. The laser was statistically better than varnish with fluorine (Flourniz) in dentin cervical hypersensitivity treatment (α= 0,05).
