O impossível do amor / The impossibility of love

RESUMO

O artigo aborda a problemática do amor em sua relação com o desejo. Argumenta que se de um lado a dimensão idealizante do amor se apresenta como resitência ao desejo, de outro, temos a indicação de Lacan do amor como veículo por excelência do desejo. Nesta direção, o artigo defende a importância clínica de amar sem idealizar.

ABSTRACT

The article discusses the question of love in its relationship to desire. The author posits that if on the one hand, love comprises the idealization which opens the doors to resistance to desire, on the other hand, we have Lacan's indication that love is the vehicle of desire, in its own right. In this sense, this article affirms the clinical relevance of loving without idealizing.
