Educação especial na educação do campo: 20 anos de silêncio no GT 15 / Special education in the rural education: 20 years of silence at anped special education group

RESUMO

O texto apresenta os conceitos de educação especial e educação do campo e sua interface na legislação atual. Além disso, mostra a escassez de pesquisas na área e analisa os dados do Censo Escolar (2007-2010) referentes às matrículas de alunos que vivem e estudam no campo e têm alguma necessidade especial por deficiência. Os achados principais foram maior incidência de alunos com necessidades educacionais especiais que vivem no campo e estudam na cidade, concentração de matrículas em escolas regulares, embora com incidência significativa de matrícula de alunos com deficiência intelectual nos sistemas segregados de ensino.

ABSTRACT

The text introduces the concepts of Special Education and rural education and its interface in the current legislation. In addition, it discloses the lack of research in the area and analyzes the data from the School Census (2007-2010) relating to the enrollment of students living and studying in the countryside and the ones who have a special need because of their disability. The major findings were higher incidence of students with special educational needs living in rural areas and studying in the city, the concentration of enrollment in regular schools, although with significant incidence of students with intellectual disabilities enrolled in segregated education systems.
