Respuesta a la carta titulada: apuntes en la discusión sobre el consentimiento informado / Response to the letter entitled: notes on the discussion about informed consent

RESUMEN

Es cierto que la ejecución de un proceder de diagnóstico del cual no se había proporcionado la información suficiente y necesaria al paciente y que provocó iatrogenia, con la consecuente demanda judicial, fue lo que justificó la aparición del consentimiento informado; 2 por tal motivo y calibrando su incuestionable importancia, me he propuesto analizar con detenimiento en qué situaciones y mecanismos inherentes a la especialidad de anatomía patológica suele requerirse la mencionada autorización. Tomando en cuenta que el consentimiento informado es un diálogo entre agentes morales, es obvio que cuando el paciente ha perdido las facultades previstas para establecerlo con su médico de asistencia (excepciones señaladas en el artículo de marras), su representación legal corresponde a la familia y es entonces cuando se produce un verdadero dilema, expuesto por el Dr.C. Hodelín en su carta ¿A cuál familiar acudimos? ¿Cual parece ser el más adecuado? ¿Cuál se encarga mejor de los intereses del paciente?...
